Stationary Soil Washing Plant Microbiological Washing Plant for contaminated Track Ballast and Soils

A novel semi mobile plant for sanitation of contaminated track ballast, bedding residues and soils has been built by AKW Apparate + Verfahren GmbH.

The process enables separation of typical rail road contaminations, such as grease, lubricants power fuels and coal as well as undiluted heavy metals, from the ballast and soil. The next step is the digestion of the pollutants in a microbiologic slumy reactor. Through this combined process of microbiological digetion and et mechanical treatment a minimisation of residues and considerable reduction of expensive land fill space is reached.

Capacity of the plant 30 - 60 t/h
