AKW - Coarse Concentrator for the Processing of ResidueThe new coarse concentrator was developed to process contaminated coarse materials such as: Coarse material in a range of grain size from 1-2 mm to 20 mm can be cleaned without difficulty. Operating principleThe coarse concentrator (see picture) works by the cross flow principle, which exploits the differences in density between various materials. Cross and upward flowing currents of water separate organic components such as foliage and wood particles from the coarse mineral fraction (grit and gravel). Conveyor belts carry the organic material to a residue container. The mineral fraction, on the other hand, is removed from the coarse concentrator by a scraper-type conveyor and transported by belt to a dump.
This fraction can be recycled as road grit or be put to some other use, e.g. as building aggregate, according to requirements. After the up-current of water is cleaned of organic material most of it is recirculated by pump. Only a small amount (less then 10%) is lost (inevitably) and has to be replaced.
Technical dataThoughput rate: 4 - 6 t/h (other sizes available)
specific water consumption: approx. 2 m³/t h
specific power consumption: approx. 8 kW/h
Experience shows that the throughput rate is affected by the organic fraction and the distribution of coarse material.
Cleaning result: < 3 % ignition loss Coarse concentrator modelsThe coarse concentrator is available as a mobile independent unit in a roller container and can be used in combination with MoReSa residue processing plants.
