Glass Sand Processing Plant commissioned for the No. 1 Float Glass Producer MFG in AlgeriaMFG (Mediterranean Float Glass) is a member of the CEVITAL Group, one of the leading industry groups in Algeria. MFG started up the float glass plant in Labrâa with a capacity of 600 t/d two years ago, however, used imported sand in the interims period. A+V developed a flexible sand processing plant for raw sands from different deposits in the vicinity of the float glass plant with a total capacity of 130 - 140 t/h depending on origin of the sand to assure local sand supply. The process design is based on extensive test work with representative sand samples in the technical laboratory in Hirschau. To achieve the required low iron contents in the products and a complex process is required comprising: - pre screening - Screening - AKATRIT attritioning - AKASPIN density spiral sorting - Dewatering of product and waste sand - Magnetic separation - Conveying equipment - process water treatment This project underlines the dominant role of A+V for glass sand processing in the MENA region due to proprietary cutting edge technology and the extensive know how in sand and mineral processing on the hand and the first class service from the very beginning through project execution and after sales service. | | |
