Jam Silica Processing, an Iranian company based in Torbatejam in the Khorasan province, awarded a contract with a volume of approximately 6.2 million Euro to A+V to design, engineer and build a glass sand processing plant with a feed capacity of 140 t/h corresponding with a product capacity of 75 t/h.
The preparation process was developed in the A+V Technical Laboratory based on samples provided by the customer.
To achieve the desired product qualities a complex process is required comprising
- Crushing of the ROM quartzite to below 2 mm
- pre screening
- TAK upward current classification
- Vertical impact sand crushing
- AKATRIT attritioning
- AKASPIN density spiral sorting
- Dewatering of product and waste sand
- Drying and
- Magnetic separation
- Safety screening of the final product
- Conveying equipment
Jam Silica Processing will realise the infrastructure, the building and support structure, vessels, conveying equipment, piping and cabling on its own using local subsuppliers.
A+V will provide drawings for plant related structures.
Commissioning of the installation is planned for end of next year.
This contract is a further confidence proof of the international glass sand industry into the trend-setting technology of AKW A+V GmbH.
